Maybe you better ask yourself to that company, for their trademark safety.

I think if a company need an adobe illustator user, they really mean it. in a large scale project, you can't just work with inkscape with another user who use illustrator.

I think there is some link in that folder to give access to anyone with link or just anyone with email.

for search some text in pdf, I think almost all pdf software have that capability, even pdf feature at Google Chrome.

I new here too, great inkscape keyboard shorcut btw.
