Re: What's this little text window for?
Isn't it a search box? It doesn't seem work for some reason though, but I think it's a built-in GTK-search-thing because it looks like the one that shows up when you type something in Nautilus (file manager in Ubuntu) and in lists in general. I'm on a windows machine right now, so I can't test it. I...

Re: Don't understand embed/link choice
In addition to drubans post: If you use link, you can change the url to a relative path (instead of absolute). If for example you know that your image is always in the same folder as your svg, then you can just remove the parts of the url that has something to do with folders. This is what I do when...

Re: Export exceptions
Yeah, that would probably be easier. At least a little. Do you know if this is on the wish/bug list (since you say "not yet")?

Export exceptions
Hey :) Is it possible to add a flag or something to tell inkscape that I want it to show a specified object during editing, but it should not export it? I'm going to use the invisible objects for defining export areas. Is there a better way? Mark Edit: The way I do it now is by selecting the object,...

Re: Edge between two objects
Thanks again for the replies
I will just use the workarounds then. My biggest issue with this was that I thought no one else had had these problems (or didn't care), but it seems that I just didn't use the right keywords when searching.

Re: Edge between two objects
Thanks for the replies :). I guess I will just use the method I've been using so far. It works fine, I just don't think it should be necessary and it's kind of annoying when I show Inkscape to other possible users. I have subscribed the bug to know when there is progress. I just wish it would get a ...

Edge between two objects
Hey :) There is a general problem I've been having with Inkscape. I haven't been able to solve it in a satisfying way (I have searched the forum and the list of bugs), so I found a "hack" to come around it. If you create two objects of same colour with a common edge, you will see a line wh...

Re: Comming to Inkscape from flash... HELP!
I don't understand why you want to use bucket for filling. Why not just use Fill and stroke-dialog (it might not be called exactly that in the English version)? I don't really like the bucket because it uses a rasterized version of the image to find out where to apply the color (at least that is my ...

Re: How do I do batch conversions?
Huh, my post disappeared. Well. I'll try again. Can you use this page? http://inkscape.modevia.com/inkscape-man.html I am guessing that you can use the flag --export-plain-svg so you'll just need to iterate through your files. I can't help you with that, sorry, but you can probably find something on...
