Hi MH7400, The "save as PLT" function (i assume that is what you mean with "export") is using Uniconvertor ( http://sk1project.org/modules.php?name=products&product=uniconvertor ) as a converter from SVG to PLT, and this tool has known bugs but is not associated with Inkscape...
