Re: Game Art Tutorials / UI Design
Making a short movie with the zombies is a great idea - to be exact, it is a no-brainer :D What software would you suggest for that? Maybe I could do that in adventure game studio (the engine I am working with - it's free and very powerful). I saw this program called Tupi lately. I'm not sure what ...

Re: Tshirt design Technical University Vienna
Nice designs
As for the blur and shading - I think that in this case you wouldn't lose much of the initial feel if you just used solid lighter shade of grey.
It would cover some parts of the text on the cup though

Re: Flow My Vectors, the Hobo Said
This is as far as I can take you, birdie! Fly away  Had to finish in GIMP, because gradients and layers went crazy, creating square fills around the shapes where there was supposed to be blank space. + I saw some users complaining about export sizes and DPI lately. I realized how much that suck...

Looks art nouveau-ish. Was that intentional? I guess it was.
I love it. Strong contrast of b&w gives it much power.

Re: Oh the Dilemma…
Ah, I feel my weary soul will find some rest soon. Thank you all for the feedback! I really appreciate it. @Lazur URH – I went after your suggestion and found one of my own scanned textures. It's cardboard paper, and has less grungy feel to it, but I kind of like the outcome. The creamy color ...

Re: animated short film
Wow, you really showed here what Inkscape is capable of when combined with other programs.
Well done!
I particulary love the storm scene (inside of the house, dancing lightbulb) and how all the things on a shelf cast shadow on the wall. Very dramatic.

Re: Oh the Dilemma…
@LazurURH - Thanks for your comment on the matter :) As for the Inkscape filters, you're right - they totally slow my computer down. I often try them out, out of curiosity, but in the end I never use them. The background still isn't there, as you can see, but thanks to you I had another idea. You s...

Re: Oh the Dilemma…
Hi Brynn, thanks for the comment! Your opinion is welcome and necessary :) I see your point about the grasp. The photo I used for reference was taken during bird ringing (Just looking all dramatic, the bird was not hurt at all by this), and maybe I went a little overboard with the connotations. Ring...

Oh the Dilemma…
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BFjex54CYAAQrIr.jpg:large This time I am trying something like this. I started by sketching a bird on paper, then scanned it and redrew in GIMP using tablet. Now I imported the drawing to Inkscape and am currently having fun with various colors and shapes. That'll take a...

Re: Chelia, a character for my Eruta game.
I guess in this case some ready color palette would be of help.
Maybe try one of these sets of colors:

Re: basic cutting questions
Maybe a separate layer would do?
I heard that's what you do when you want some spot varnish in print. Maybe it applies to cutting as well?
Just thinking.

Re: Flow My Vectors, the Hobo Said
 Haha, sorry for that, I just needed a title for this thread so I took first work of the author I like that came to my head ( Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said ) and crooked it a bit to sound strange and fit. Thus - destroyed original title (In hope that Phil wouldn't mind). This is what i usu...

Flow My Vectors, the Hobo Said
Well hi there! My name is Ewa. I like Philip K. Dick and destroying titles. When it comes to vectors, I tend to work on a scanned sketch or do some quick digital sketch in any raster program. And here are my two finished works: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kCL9weYd61M/UMD4Htl-iSI/AAAAAAAAAMA/sVhIjJCbZM...

Hello from Poland :)
Hi everyone,
I was trying out Inkscape since last year (along with raster programs such as GIMP and Krita) and decided it's vector graphic I want to focus on this year.
I hope I can learn some fancy new tricks from you all and share some of my stuff too!
