Based from my observation, this only happened (often) when I tried to change the color for a part of text (not all text in a text object).

Are you working in RGB, and not some custom profile? I have no clue on what you meant by "working in RGB". As far I am concerning, I left InkScape as default as it is. The only configurations are for Document Properties (grids and paper size). At the time you paste and the color code chan...
