Yet it works just fine in both OpenOffice and GIMP.

Re-install didn't work either. On the assumption that the .46 release glitch had not been fixed, I manually typed it in, same problem.

Font not found - yes I have tried much
Ok. Newbie. Windows 8. Inkscape 0.45 r10040. I downloaded a font I wish to use. Link -> http://www.fontspace.com/codeman38/press-start-2p It is a TTF. On Win8 you install by clicking on the font file and a dialog box pops up and asks you to install. Did so, it shows up just fine in the Fonts folder....
