Re: Help with clones

By the way, I was thinking on the same tutorial, but the size of the circles is decreasing and increasing while the spiral is closing down. I guess that can't be done with tiled clones, am I right?

Help with clones

Hi everyone, I'm trying to get an image similar to this one using Create Tiled Clones. http://screencast.com/t/MXxUSS0gk . However, I can't get with the right parameters of the options. Maybe I'm wrong but it's not necessary to create the whole images, maybe cloning a main circle in a path of 180 ° ...

Need some ideas

Sumado.svg Hi everyone, I'm a programmer, not a designer and I'm trying to write a mobile game. Imagine a kind of tic-tac-toe, I have a board (attached) but I would like to make it better. I don't know, a 3 D effect, or a kind of pipeline, any idea is welcome. Here is the file. Thanks for any help.

Re: Intersection with clones

Hi Lazur,
it didn't work (or I don't know how to do it). I used Tiled clones, see at the picture: http://screencast.com/t/qOXorzRiOcoE
It doesn't matter for me if the intersection is with a Text or a shape, I just want to get a kind of shape formed by squares.

Intersection with clones

Hi all, here my problem: I draw a little square and clone it, 10 x 10. Then I add a letter, let's say T, put it in the middle of the clones and I want to get the intersection of that. I can't do it! For any reason, nothing happens and I'm sure I'm forgetting something to do with the clones in the mi...

Re: Sphere of stripes

Thanks for the explanation, druban. Just a stupid question, when you export to Gimp, do you choose png format or there is a better one for this task?

Sphere of stripes

Hi guys, some time ago I asked in a gimp forum how to make a sphere of stripes (I really don't know how to call it but here you can have an idea: http://www.logomyway.com//logos_new/SphereRealEstateServices_915/thumb/Logo42.jpg . Now I know how to make that sphere with Gimp but someone in that forum...

I answer myself. Maybe not the best way but I created a rectangle, 60 x 40 px and applied Path/Intersection and I've got it!!!

To cut a rectangle

Hi everyone!!! (don't answer: hi Dr. Nick!!! :) ) I'm trying to make a button for an application I'm working on. The size of this button is 60x120 and has rounded borders. Now I need to split the image in 3, each one of 40 px height. What's the best way to do it? Here is the image of the button: htt...

Re: Transparency of objects

Thanks everyone (and Merry XMas). Here is the Photoshop tutorial: http://www.eyesontutorials.com/articles/4317/1/Sony-Ericsson-Logo/Page1.html. I followed hulf2012 suggestion and finally got what I want. I though the gray circle was on the top, but it wasn't.

Re: Transparency of objects

Thanks, shawnhcorey, but that's not I want. The object must have a gradient and even if I choose a flat color, the result is the same. http://screencast.com/t/g9xGrC2L

Transparency of objects

Hi everybody, a few days before, but Merry Christmas for all of you and, of course, many thanks for your patience. Now, my question. I was playing with Inkscape, trying to reproduce Sony-Ericsson logo according to a tutorial that I've found for Photoshop. More or less, I've finally got something sim...

Objects difference

Hi everyone, I feel that this will be a very stupid question but I need to understand what I'm doing wrong. I have 2 objects like you can see here: http://screencast.com/t/X6HpVRTPlY . I select both and apply Path/Difference to obtain a new object ( http://screencast.com/t/cX3a6rkvUm ). So now I tak...

Now, however, I was thinking about the size of the balls: is there an easy way to make the inner balls smaller...
