Re: Game scene wip

The new one seems more easy on the eyes than the first one. Also, the first one had a lot of negative space. Clearly, there's some improvement going on here. You did well. :)

Re: light and shade in artificial scenery

Thank you! Do you follow that route and start with traditional media first? Oh you paint. Can we see some of that? You're welcome! :] Not all the time, but I do. Recently, I've been working on an anime-inspired portrait. It started as a pencil lineart, that I, then, edited with GIMP and Paint.NET. ...

Re: Inkscape_WIP (Warning: Nudity involved because sketches)

Nice! Did you have a source image for the pose and proportions? (Personally speaking I don't find those nsfw.) Thanks. :) To be honest, I didn't use references. I'm not against using them (especially for studies), but, most of the time, I tend to sketch and create something without them. I better s...

All works are interesting to look at. I couldn't take my eyes from them, especially the works about bars. I didn't know the golden ratio grid could be used like this. o.o

Warning: Nudity involved! I've been working on a new lineart. (I haven't used Inkscape for some time...because I've been painting a lot. Re: impossible heart

I've seen the impossible triangle. But I still can't wrap my head around how does this shape work. O_o I mean, I remember there's one or two games playing with this concept, but... It's so confusing. ._.
Anyway, I like the outcome. Also, that's a good use of gradients and tones. It adds depth. :]

Re: light and shade in artificial scenery

Your project is inspiring. o.o I like how it started from traditional media and ended up digital. I think this is a good example of what a creative mind can do. :)

Re: An Introduction

Howdy, You probably know already: Inkscape edits SVG natively. SVG is written in XML and can be read directly by browsers (including mobile) and manipulated by scripts... SVG images can therefore be made interactive, like Flash. Inkscape is open-source and in constant development, so features found...

I like the character movement. And the background. And how you added details to the dress and umbrella. I'm sure you'll get the hang on Inkscape. :]

Have you started drawing bodies yet?

Re: Finished work 1: Yanshi

Nice colors, but some parts are kind of confusing: transparency on hair (?); upper left corner, that black triangle which looks like your character has "claw" or "beak" in the hair (?); it might not be that strange if he/she already has a third eye (?) and not some kind of costu...

Inkscape_WIP (Warning: Nudity involved because sketches)

A guy I drew entirely on Inkscape. I still haven't finished...at least, with the coloring. :]

This is just the lineart.

Well...this is my first work with Inkscape (though I did some editing with Paint.NET; there was a piece showing transparency instead of white.)

Re: An Introduction

Welcome to the forums. The main difference between raster drawing and vectors is that everything in vectors "floats". With raster, the pixels dominate and you think of the image within the frame. With vectors, you have to think of how one piece of the image is related to another. There is...

An Introduction

I might as well be honest. My username is Beta0. I love to use programs to make drawings (like MS Paint, Paint.NET and Gimp); though that doesn't mean I don't sketch traditionally. And I am not new to Inkscape. Well, I'm learning my way around the program, but, still... *Story* Sometime ago (months ...
