Hi everyone, I am a relative newcomer to Inkscape and would really appreciate some input on something. I want to open an image (like a png image file) into Inkscape, make nice vector rounded corners on it, export back out as a GIMP xcf file and then reimport it into GIMP with the nice rounded corner...

I don't know what happend but my Inkscape has tooltips now. I closed it and reopened it and voila...it works. Isn't that just like Microsoft Wind... oops, I mean Linux ?

Hi everyone, I am trying to figure out my way around Inkscape (running under Ubuntu 9.04) and my copy of Inkscape has no tool tips to let me know what is what. How do I turn on tooltips?
