Thats really neat, could be interesting used in conjunction with the openSCAD export to make 3d printable boxes.

Re: Slicing a 2D drawing

Nice drawbot! I'm not aware of anything that does that, but that doesnt mean its not out there! Not sure if the geomerative library that the polargraph software uses has anything that would help. I'd probably create some really big template 'fills' and just paste copies of them across the shape then...

Re: Very slow development - why?

Part of the issue with that is getting it into the svg spec. We got bit by implementing a feature that was meant to be about to be supported before.(flow text)

Re: Very slow development - why?

its because we're all doing it in our spare time, and life gets in the way. Little things like getting married and having kids mean you have less time to dedicate to things like coding inkscape. The team evolves as people come and go, but the new ones have to get up to speed and learn the ins and ou...

Re: [solved] Problem printing with pattern fill

Hi Is this an issue that is likely to be addressed soon? it is a significant one for me and anyone else wishing to incorporate inkscape drawings into professional reports as PDF files. Your much better asking that on the bug on launchpad rather than here, as thats what the devs will see. Looking at...

Re: Cut out PNG image within Rectangle

You might be able to do this with a mask, it depends on the colors of the letter on the PNG, or you could trace it and then subtract that from the rectangle.

Re: Extension: Print x, y coordinates of path nodes

Nice! bit of an improvement on the hacky bit of code I posted :)

And you have my complete approval for doing whatever the heck you like with it. I based it on someone elses code as that thread said, and he was happy for it to be used when I asked.

Re: Inkscape Frequently Asked Questions - please read!

What I don't get, it why the quality is so much worse with the higher dpi?! Because the software is averaging 2 or more pixels into one. This gives the image a blurry look, as though the camera lens is not quite focused correctly. No, the one on top, that looks slightly blurry, is the 90 dpi. It ap...

Re: Inkscape Frequently Asked Questions - please read!

(My general understanding is that Inkscape can't change the dpi for printing, and that a raster graphics program is required for that. I know that changing the DPI in Export Bitmap changes the size of the image. But I don't understand why it's called DPI, because usually when someone refers to DPI,...

I'm not entirely clear what your trying to do, but I think clip is what your after. If you clip an object with another object only the area enclosed by the clip shape is visible. (so in your example inside the circle.)
