Should have no problem at all , take a look at how to install your usb cutter on the web site (if using usb) once installed make sure it's set to hpgl (if applicable to your cutter) should be ready to go......use "HPGL" in your output code selection in Tux Plot

This is my first software project so I'm not familiar with development protocols.

I finally finished up my hpgl interface for Ubuntu/linux it takes postscript/pdf/plt files from any application and allows you to select options in a gui then outputs to a raw cups cutter/engraver/router etc.
