Re: Assign HUE to the heavily-aliased text of a raster PNG

Another sloppy attempt. I think it looks fine Lazur. It's very dignified. Okay I'm uploading two images: One is an extremely nice edge-distressed parchment background, and the other . . . well I did say I'm not an artist!! I'm not pleased with my edit but I welcome anyone improving upon i...

Re: Assign HUE to the heavily-aliased text of a raster PNG

Tons of examples Lazur! The one thing all these images share in common is the almost total absence of WHITE. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/49/e9/72/49e97282c298e6ba172c13b3c5c534ac.jpg https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/aa/a2/df/aaa2dfb8cb7e310022ace1e362f28b56.jpg http://resource...

You do realize your poster is probably a rip off of the Jim Beam bottle, right ? Raspi I was going to ask if you could upload a yellow version of your green whisky :? but if you feel uncomfortable uploading additional content to this thread I understand. I'm uploading Raspi's green Whisky with corr...

Re: Assign HUE to the heavily-aliased text of a raster PNG

Lazur I'm sorry I got through the first two minutes of the video but it is extremely hard because I don't have a clue as to what I'm doing. It's alright I can just manually go in there and change them, the important thing is the text & glyphs are now in COLOR! Everyone . . . If you dig this litt...

But if you don't like dealing with float numbers for each rgb channel, then you can use a threshold filter with two flood fills. Lazur I . . . I'm sorry but I don't have a blessed clue what you're talking about!! Please explain? or point me to a tutorial discussing your recommendation? You're...

Assign HUE to the heavily-aliased text of a raster PNG

I'm attaching a heavily aliased PNG raster that I want to convert to RGB color. I need to know if there is a fast method (plugin? something other?) Inkscape has for colorizing little graphics like this that I can do quickly, on-the-fly as opposed to a more intense, bit-by-bit forensic method that I...

Re: Layout of Inkscape's Panels and other Components: User Preference Options vs. Defaults

. . . the layout you want is currently not possible. I produced that graphic for you (and anyone else) to immediately see what I'm faced with in Inkscape's current layout, if for no other reason than to see how cramped my canvas becomes by the intrusion of that panel. I almost couldn't believe it w...

It might be better for me to show you what I'm talking about. On the left is what I currently have. On the right is what I aspire to do. Can it be done? and how? because I haven't been able to move "Properties" into its own row . . .

Layout of Inkscape's Panels and other Components: User Preference Options vs. Defaults

I have a 1920 X 1200 monitor that rotates, and despite the vast majority of widescreen-monitor owners working in Landscape/wide I use mine permanently in Portrait/tall mode (unless I'm working with database & spreadsheet files, then widescreen obviously). Be assured I studied Inkscape's help fi...

How do I resize the "Canvas/Page" ANSWERED!

I managed to create an SVG vector of an icon I'm making but when I export it to PNG :? it takes the entire canvas with it. The icon's dimensions are 32px X 32px. I can upload it if you like? I'm a complete beginner. Thank you!

Options for Saving Inkscape's Windows, Panels & Toolbar Positions?

I haven't been able to figure out how to do this. I was able to undock the "Export to PNG" panel but then couldn't move it permanently to one of the toolbars. The application window never stays put, and between that and docking (any) panel I'm having trouble customizing the program so it i...

Re: Is there any way to BATCH EXPORT SVGs to the PNG format?

Okay I've had a (minor) breakthrough. It dawned on me that v1nce's original script was meant to be the actual batch file itself (alright, but I did say I'm not good with DOS yeah? ). The name I gave it is INKY-SVG.bat , and after one or two tweaks I saved it in Inkscape's program folder. Doub...

Moini, thank you. I'm afraid I'm not very good with DOS. :? I know how to pull up the DOS window, it's what I type in that I'm not certain about, so forgive me if the following is overly explicit . . . The conventions we'll use are: The @ symbol = a typed-in SPACE on the command line The  di...

Is there any way to BATCH EXPORT SVGs to the PNG format?

I have over 500 SVG files I need to convert to the PNG format. I can't afford to purchase a converter so I've been trying out the ( very few) free utilities out there, but they either don't work -or- they ask me to pre-define an output size. :? But that's the problem: each of these files is a differ...
