ShadowRoyale's Super Awesome Art Thread of Awesomeness!!
Well for right now I only have one vector artwork to show ya. :P The rest will come soon, though. Here's one that I recently did for a T-shirt contest with the theme "Musically Inspired": (Click on image to go to my artwork page and download the high-res version) Chillin With My Beats T-...

Re: Overlay Blend Mode
Hi. I created a solid object in the center of both images and the used blur from each program. By the way, where do I find Reflected gradient?

Overlay Blend Mode
Hi. I notice that there is no Overlay in the list of Blend Mode options in Inkspace. I use overlay a lot for lighting and shadowing.
Changing the transparency does not bring about the desired effects either. In the attachments below, the second image is what I'm trying to achieve. Any suggestions?

Inset/Outset cause strange warping
The Inset and Outset tool don't seem to be behaving as they're supposed to. For one thing, using either of these tools sometimes changes a smooth, rounded edge into a sharp, straight edge. The other strange anomaly is that sometimes it appears as though a node is added randomly around an outside edg...

Re: Export Outline in Display Mode to Bitmap File
Hhhm....I don't think so. I could be wrong though. You could simulate such thing fairly easily though. You could copy the whole thing, paste into a new document, remove any filters and fills, perhaps assign the same stroke width to all the paths, and then export. If there are no groups, this should...

Export Outline in Display Mode to Bitmap File
I noticed that Inkscape has this great feature where I can view my artwork as an outline (View > Display Mode > Outline). Is there any way I can export the image in this view? When I try, it only exports the Normal View image. I'd also like to be able to print with the Outline View.

Re: Join two objects with different transparencies seamlessl
Well unfortunately I haven't been able to come up with a method around this but I'll just increase the inside by one pixel. Not perfect but better then nothing.

Re: Changing the Stroke to Path Sometimes Changes the Shape
ShadowRoyale is using the latest stable version 0.48.2 r9819.
Although the shape change doesn't usually happen when converting from simple shapes like circles and squares, it does happen when I use something like the Stars & Polygon tool.

Re: Separate Fill From Stroke
Hey. Thanks for the reply. I tried this method but the Fill always extends into the middle of the Stroke and not along the outside edges of it. The only other option that I could think of is to duplicate the stroke, change the Stroke to Path and then use Difference to leave a cutout of the Fill. But...

Re: Changing the Stroke to Path Sometimes Changes the Shape
Yeah, that is exactly it. I'm wondering if it is a settings problem or a problem with the program itself.
I need for the shape to remain the same because I'm using Path tools like Difference a lot and the inconsistent shapes are causing me problems.

Changing the Stroke to Path Sometimes Changes the Shape
Sometimes it doesn't change the shape by much at all but other times, depending on the shape, it changes it by quite a bit. Why is this?

Join two objects with different transparencies seamlessly
So basically I created a shape where the Fill is separated from the Stroke. The Fill has a lesser transparency then the Stroke. Up close they look seamless without any gaps but when zoomed out or when exported to a bitmap, there is a 1 pixel gap between them. If I combine the two shapes then one wil...

Re: Flip object from one side to the other symmetrically
Hi. I tried using the Grid and the Guilds but it took noticeably longer to accomplish what I wanted, especially if the object that I'm trying to flip to the other side is far away from the central object. The method that I posted above seems to be far less time consuming and consistently accurate. P...

Is it possible to select either Fill or Stroke and move one or the other independent of each other? I can't figure out how to do this.

Re: Flip object from one side to the other symmetrically
Hi Inkspots! Thanks for the reply! I tried the method that you suggested but it didn't work exactly the way I wanted it to. Unless the second ear is moved just right, the first ear will be moved out of its position when centering the two ears to the head. But after some time, I did come up with my o...

Flip object from one side to the other symmetrically
I probably posted in the wrong topic earlier but I'll try this again here. So I've drawn a large circle (the head) and above it I've drawn a smaller circle (the ear) to the top-left of it (think bear ears). I've cloned the ear to the top-left and now I want to flip it to the other side of the head. ...

Will do. But I should mention that I only have one artwork that I created in Inkscape thus far and the rest of them were created in Paint.NET.

Hey! Sup!
I'm fairly new to Inkscape but I'm already learning my way around it and creating some artworks. I'll be posting those here soon.
