Re: How to copy color AND gradient to another object?
Tom thanks for help! I see what you mean now, if I make a simple rectangle A, fill it with a color and make a two part vertical linear gradient, then make another rectangle B to the right and a little bit higher vertically then Shift-Ctrl-V into new square, I can clearly see how the B has a copy of ...

How to copy color AND gradient to another object?
Looking through this great forum I find that Ctrl-Shift-V copies objects' color to another object. Is it possible to also copy a gradient (at the same time or separately) from one object to another? I have some similar objects, to which I would like to apply the same color fill AND gradient. Why not...

Re: How to create perfect 2x3 tile of same object?
Thanks for the help!
Indeed, using tiled clone then using Shift-Alt-D to unlink clones(I have to adjust fill to each one of them) works much better than my "hands-on" method.

Currently, I am doing it by hand, that is Ctrl-C , Ctrl-V then try to use Distribution and keyboard arrow movement to place them in the grid. Problem is that using keyboard...

Re: [Newbie] How to select multiple objects in a specific area?
Thanks for the tips!
I ended up removing(not sure how to hide them so they do not get selected) unneeded layers, still there were some layers which wouldn't ungroup, but overall I made progress.

[Newbie] How to select multiple objects in a specific area?
I have a largish Adobe Illustrator drawing open/imported in Inkscape, I completely fail at doing something very basic: I would like to select all objects in the middle of the drawing (my desired objects are multilayered smallish button design, which consists of about 10-12 objects. The whole drawing ...
