Dear Polygon,

Thank you for your reply!

I saw what you did and tried "Fiters>Fill and Transparency>Montochrome Transparency" and it worked!

Thank you!

Dear Xav,

Thank you for your reply!

After I read Moini's reply, I tried Trace to Bitmap and it worked!

FYI, most of my artwork is geometric abstractions. So, Inkscape is perfect.

I did but, being a newbie, I have to practice a lot.

However, in the documentation, something caught my eye: trace to bitmap. I tried it and it worked!

Hi!

I use the palette at the bottom to select the fill color. Can that palette be used to select the stroke color? How?

Thank you!

Snapping to guides

Hi!

I am using Inkscape 0.92.3 running under Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit, Service Pak 1.

When one snaps a thin rectangle (0.10” h) to a guide, does it position the rectangle above the guide? Below the guide? Or, centered on the guide?

Thank you!

Alpha Channel vs. Opacity

Hi!

I am using Inkscape 0.92.3 running under Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit, Service Pack 1.

I searched the Web and looked at relevant posts in this forum but I still do not understand the difference between the Alpha Channel and Opacity.

Would someone explain it in plain English?

Thank you!
