Re: 3D box disappears after changes

Using exact same Inkscape version but on High Sierra.
Changing colors, editing nodes, not noticing any problems at all.
Seems like something with Mojave?

Re: How to uninstall Inskape 0.92 on Mac?

So what happened with the install? Any errors listed? Can’t find it? Do you have the ‘Mac Ports-Guide’ Docs ? https://guide.macports.org Since you’ve used Macports to install Inkscape you are familiar with the Terminal command line and how to get there. Im not a Macports guru, but there is one thing...

Re: Lock file to prevent simultaneous edits

Have you considered just locking the file at the system level ? This way, only you can unlock it, but they will only be able to save it as a copy or rename it incrementally. In OSX (Mac user here) just find the file in your Documents folder and do a ‘get-info’ (or windows equivalent) and just check ...

Re: Introduction

Thank You for your visit. I recalled your name immediately, as I remembered the day so well, about a year ago, when somebody finally made a nice working build of Inkscape 0.92 for Mac available , and it was you, right? So, a big thanks from a Mac user who appreciates your efforts, for sure.. I’ll be...

@JonasCollet,
So... just to keep this thread useful to any other OSX users,
What MacOS and what Quartz version are you running there with the 0.92 version provided by Tim Sheridan ?

Re: Inkscape Fails to Launch on Mac OSX 10.10.4

In stead of double clicking to open Inkscape, try a right click and then choose open (there's a difference). If it's the first time you will be opening it, you must be patient while it inits all the fonts, etc.... It could be a full minute or so... just wait for it, that is, unless it just still bou...

Re: unofficial 0.92.1 DMG test version (for Macs)

Perhaps I could have posted this sooner but …. I D’Loaded the new 0.92.1 version of Inkscape for Mac, thanks to Tim Sheridan, and it opens nicely and works quite well here. 0.92.1 sits right there next to 0.91 in my /applications folder however, 91 & 92 share the same preference files. At least,...

Re: unofficial 0.92.1 DMG test version (for Macs)

Thanks, ~suv.
On closer inspection, I now see the numbering convention used.
Of course, 'Pre' would have been the very first.
I'll try the latest one instead.
Also, I noted the path/thread to where Tim can be reached.
Cool

So glad to see some progress for us Mac users. THANK YOU BRYNN ! , for your kindly concern, and your help in providing an update path for us Mac users. (The Link seems to work just fine, as it stands right now) Of course, the real thanks go to Tim Sheridan for the nice test build of 0.92.1 to play w...

Re: Newbie to Inkscape and installing on a Mac

The link for Macports is simply’ Macports.org ‘ and everything that is needed to get started, can be found there. At Macports.org there actually are existing projects for Inkscape 0.48, 0.91, and 0.92pre-4, but they are only in the ’source’ format, so each user would have to build the application fo...

Re: Newbie to Inkscape and installing on a Mac

I'll be watching this thread closely for any responses as I may give macports and inkscape a try very soon. I still use 0.91 on El Capitan (10.11.6) but usually, sooner or later, someone does a Mac compile and we Mac users will get to enjoy 0.92, hopefully. Ideally, I would think that just typing 'i...

Ahh Yes, I knew it was there.. somewhere… As it turns out, somehow, I ended up being in Inkscape 48.x and did not realize it !!!
