Re: My army dude - recommend how to improve
Not sure if vector is the esiest way to animate. But if animated, less details would be better for rendering I guess. Thinking of a style like of the cartoon character samurai Jack . OMG, that is just awesome. Can you please tell me what objects you used? I assume you started with a rectangle and m...

Re: My army dude - recommend how to improve
Ok, so I took what you had to say and analyzed what I have to offer. I used to be a good artist until my car wreck and I had an IV in my right hand which basically took me 4 years pf physical therapy and playing the guitar to get good movement back. While my hand was a good sketcher and I could draw...

My army dude - recommend how to improve
http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2846/9076532099_ac9feb8830.jpg I have this guy I made. He's my first ever face so it's bad. How the pros recommend I made him look cool like the following image: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8245/8538656063_08f8400130.jpg From my first glance, I can see I need to make...

Re: Installing on mac (10.8.3) 64 bit
Did you install XQuartz, and log out and back in (or reboot) to properly finish the installation of XQuartz? See also: ⋅ Inkscape FAQ > Mac OS X specific issues > Inkscape fails to launch on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion Is there a 64 bit version for Mac? Not yet (but that's not the reason why ...

Installing on mac (10.8.3) 64 bit
I have a brand new Mac Book with OSX 10.8.3 and I would like to run Inkscape on it.
It's a 64 bit OS
When I run it, the app shuts down immidiately, just a menu flash and back to finder. Is there a 64 bit version for Mac?

Re: What tools to use for grafitti letters
I'm trying to make a logo for a kid game site with letters, so I was hoping I could do it with inkscape in vector form.

Changing a spline to a corner
I have a complex shape of many rectangles.
When I cut some of the rectangles my rectangle corner goes from a hard corner to a spline. Is it [possible to tell inkscape the resulting path will be a corner or can I pick a vertex and change the type of a corner from a spline?

What tools to use for grafitti letters
If I wanted to make bubbly letters like this http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/p480x480/18593_481901585192089_1430146108_n.jpg where the direction would follow a spline arc and the middle of the letter comes out and the top and bottom tuck in like the edge of a circle. I'll try and sketch i...

help with cutting inside intersection
I am trying to use 2 rectangle paths to cut an intersection off. I am trying to form a path for a helicopter that was originally outlined with rectangles. So I have 2 paths that intersect and I want to only keep the outside lines to form a new path. See the picture below. How do I select 1 line and ...

Re: Help with removing a line from 2 rectangles side by side
Than you so much. I had an issue with union in that it splines all my rectangles ( made them curved ). I actually am doing the helicopter tutorial and when I "unioned" it made them all curved. Which is probably because the nodes were not on the same point. I actually used and liked your se...

Help with removing a line from 2 rectangles side by side
I drew 2 rectangles as soon below. I want to remove the center line and make it one big rectangle. I already converted them to a path. How do I remove the center lines and use all of the exterior points to make it a box. When I delete the inside nodes it just looks like a spline. http://farm9.static...
