Thanks ! I thought we had a misunderstanding. My fault, didn't ask the right question. So, how do you make sure that when you open a SVG file, from someone else, Inkscape keeps the original measures ? ( that's why I was printing it on paper first before attempting to create a Gcode) Your file seems ...

Thanks for the prompt reply, " .By opening a new document and importing the raster image it will be placed in the default A4 template. " The original image fits in A4, I know cause I've seen the finished object. " ... All you have to do is scaling the raster image to the right physica...

Print SVG file with original dimensions
Hi all, I download this svg file from the Internet. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B01dPFrqmSfOUkV0Nmd1dHlVOUE/edit?usp=sharing Open it in Inkscape and try to print (regular printer) the shape on pappar to check the measurements. I get a smaller object, the dimensions are reduced. What am I doing ...
