It's src/pixmaps/ in the source code tree

Oh wait, that means I have to compile from source, doesn't it?

Yikes.

Re: Line art doodles with calligraphy tool

Yeah, I'm using a tablet pc, and IMO the difficulty with drawing I'm having comes from the design of the tablet, not Inkscape. If the tablet were capable of greater accuracy I could connect the calligraphy strokes more smoothly.

Re: Line art doodles with calligraphy tool

Not really. You want it to snap so you seamlessly continue the line you are inking? That's a no. Bummer. I think these tablet screens are probably not accurate enough on their own for my style of line art. The resolution is too low and then there's the thickness of a monitor and a screen protector ...

Re: Line art doodles with calligraphy tool

That's brilliant work with the calligraphy tool. Thanks! I think that whilst traditionally with vector you would aim to create drawings with only as many paths and nodes as you needed, that idea can be too limiting when it comes to freehand drawing. Yeah, it needs to be as spontaneous and fast as p...

Line art doodles with calligraphy tool

Link This ends up being rather a lot of paths. Suggestions for smoothing out and speeding up this process are welcome. I'm doing this on an Asus R1e tablet pc. Maybe the resolution of the screen is too small. It's kind of hard to draw on and I can't do as well. It's hard to place the lines accurate...

Re: Couple minor questions

Thanks to prokoudine and prkos for the tips! Now I've got a couple more questions. I've had to temporarily switch back to Windows, what is the equivalent of running 'inkscape --verb-list' ? Or if you really want to be helpful, how do you set the width function of the calligraphy tool to a hot key? A...

Ahh, thanks. It may not be a "bug" but it's sure not a feature.

Is this a new bug, paths not on a layer?

Thought I'd ask before posting to Launchpad -

Image

What layer are the paths on? None that I can see.

(FWIW this image is being cropped for your protection, but you can see the important parts.)

prokoudine - How about replacing the calligraphy tool swirl graphic with a transparent graphic of the same name and size? Where is it kept at? I looked through the Inkscape folder in /usr/share/inkscape and couldn't find any GUI stuff. brynn, kelan - That's what I meant, thanks for explaining it. Lo...

Couple minor questions

Is there a way to get rid of the cursor icon on the calligraphy tool? I don't see an option in the preferences - perhaps there's a file that can be removed? The little cross hair is o.k. but the swirly symbol is distracting. I'm using white as an "eraser" until .47 comes out with a real er...
