Thanks so much for a reply! Unfortunately I'm an amateur and I'm new to vector graphics (although I'm aware that something as "paths", "cloning" are in photoshop), could you explain to me what exactly are the paths and how do I clip the object? Thanks a lot!

How do I get rid of the rest of layer?
As title says. On the picture I attached there is a writing "VIce" and a black palm stencil in the background which I used to have part of it to be seen through the transparent writing, both objects are separate layers. I only need the pieces of the palm that are already "inside"...
