Re: [solved] possible bug with a default extension...generate from path
thanks for the reply brynn. Nice for someone to admit they too have these types of experiences. I need to learn more patience when at the beginning of something new, knowing the chances are mostly that errors are due to my own inexperience.
But I am really liking Inkscape.

Re: possible bug with a default extension...generate from path
My bad. I did not do the "Object to path". I was unable to delete my original post. Sorry. Maybe this will serve to help some other fool like me who misses a crucial step. I realized this by going to the Help>Turtorials>Interpolate/ My sincere apologies for cluttering the forum unnecessari...

[solved] possible bug with a default extension...generate from path
I was doing a tutorial and it was working fine until the directions said to go to Extensions>Generate from Path>Interpolate. I just installed version 0.92. I am a new user so maybe it was something i did. The tutorial was to create a display test using the letter A. Basically the goal was to create ...

Re: Can I save/export in an editable format for Photoshop?
Hi Brynn. Thanks for the reply. I like to use Illustrator (when I had it) and Freehand (also when I had it) to do lettering and effects and also to create signage in large sizes without large file sizes. Sometimes, when the printed final doesn't require being very big, I like to work in effects in P...

Re: Can I save/export in an editable format for Photoshop?
Thanks for the reply Moini. Being new to Inkscape i am not sure. I would love to have even rasterized layers in Photoshop. I have exported in the png format but it seems to compress everything onto one layer in Photoshop. I admit that I do not understand all of the options in the export setup window...

Any tutorials on changing the GUI in Inkscape?
I was noticing some of the videos on Youtube Inkscape had a pleasing dark grey background and the toolbars and such were re-arranged. Is there a tutorial (for dummies like me) that gives some insight into this process?
Thanks for any help with this.
