Thanks for your quick reply. I'm not sure how to be more succinct. The image with the smilies spelling out "happy I am" is pretty much the idea of what I want to do. I assume it was produced by cloning the image and have it follow along a path, using the scatter extension as was suggested ...

I can't get this to work at all, after about an hour of searching I can't find anyone explaining it. I have a simple path and an image I want to repeat along it. I make sure the image is on top, select both and click: Extensions > Generate from Path > Scatter... No matter what options I choose I get...
