Re: Crop rather than clip a complex vector graphic

Thanks, Druban! The magical incantation of ungrouping thrice hadn't occurred to me, and things get pretty trivial from there, of course. This neatly solves the problem at hand but doesn't do anything about the lack of cropping functionality that would allow me to cut across multiple paths in one go....

Re: Crop rather than clip a complex vector graphic

Brynn -- I want to separate those four quadrants and use any one or two of them in a design. As there aren't any overlapping paths, this would look like the simplest of possible cases, but I'm still at a loss. I've removed the AI stuff in a text editor and zipped up the SVG to 1.2 MB: < http://inter...

Crop rather than clip a complex vector graphic

I would like to remove permanently certain areas from a vector graphic without needing to apply an intersection to every single path or merely hide the area using Object > Clip > Set. Re: Have node with one handle, need two

Ah! Turning on the stroke revealed that I was dealing with two endnodes, so I just needed to join them up; problem solved. Thanks a lot!

Re: Have node with one handle, need two

Thanks -- I've seen this mentioned while looking for a solution, but it does nothing for me -- it just moves the node around.

[solved] Have node with one handle, need two

Hi.

Sometimes I get two adjacent nodes that only have one handle and a flat straight path between them. Such nodes can't be made symmetric to gain a second handle, and when they're deleted they reduce a neighbouring node from two handles to one handle only.

How can I overcome this?
