Text Flow into Frame NOT inside a frame

I want to flow words around an OBJECT, not inside one. I placed an image inside a frame and created my text and flowed it, that worked. I can get it to flow but resizing it and releasing it is my main problem. I've been messing with this feature for 2 days and have finally gotten a couple of nice de...

Re: object to stroke type

Hello, I'm using a Mac with Mountain Lion and Inkscape 0.48. If you are having problems with pattern on path an alternative is to use Path/Path Effect Editor/Interpolate Sub Path. Here is a video that may get you started. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAOJHvcxLmc Here is what I did with your design...

Inkscape 0.48-2 Mountain Lion Pattern on Path

I got a new computer and now my Inkscape 0.48-2 will not do patern on path. In general all other features are working that I've tried. I've downloaded and reinstalled the latest vs of Inkscape 0.48-1 since I can't find anywhere that there is a vs for Mountain Lion. I don't remember EVER having to do...

Star Twist using Extrude and Eggbot Twist

Created in Inkscape 0.48 on Mac. A star was extruded (extension/generate from path/extrude) and then eggbot extension TWIST to get the fine detail. You are never quite sure what you are going to get but this turned out well and can be recolored. http://www.4shared.com/photo/h3JfxNEG/StarTWISTjpgPS.h...

Re: Automatically decrease numbr of nodes?

Follow up question. I got the information about changing the Simplify Threshold to 0.0001 or 0.0002 from two crafters, one in Australia and the other in England. They both use mm as the unit of measure. I use inches and have set my Ink preferences to default to inches. Now that I have reset to 0.002...

Re: Automatically decrease numbr of nodes?

I changed the Inkscape Preferences/Misc/Simplification Threshold from 0.0000 to 0.0001 after someone told me that it would further reduce the nodes in a design. I'm a cutter and less nodes is better. NOW I get more nodes (sometimes double the number) with just one application of simplify. I've tried...

I have a dmg of Ink 0.47 on my Mac with Snow Leopard. I cannot change the system defaults (like px to in). I have no Inkscape program folder, just Inkscape.app.

How can I get the full package so I can reset the defaults and save them?

Can you tell me which version of Inkscape you are using and which version of SCAL? It appears that you may not have properly converted the inner parts of the key. If you can post the file or email it to me I'll take a look once I know which programs your are using. Ink. 47 has different requirements...

Hi, ran across this plea for help whilst looking for help myself.

I downloaded your .svg file and opened in both Inkscape 0.47 and SCAL 2.013 and both files looked just fine. So I guess I cannot help. Nice file tho.

Using the ERASE TOOL for Cutters

I design files for "cutters" and being able to erase small parts of objects is important. There are lots of differences between those who want to design for the WEB and those who design for cutting pieces for craft projects. I developed this video to HELP. http://papasuecreative.blogspot.c...
