Re: Text on path direction problems

Yes, that's it! Many thanks for the help! The document was converted from a pdf which in turn was exported from an old version of Freehand. I guess that the transform is needed because the coordinate systems differ. All your suggestions should work. However, I found that the easiest way was to remov...

Re: Text on path direction problems

Version 0.46 (Apr 7 2008), the default package in Ubuntu 8.04, so it is a bit dated. I removed all layers except the one containing the text on path example and attached the file as textonpath.svg. It would be nice if someone could confirm that it works correctly in a more recent version. In my vers...

It's probably best described with some images so I'll att...

Re: pdf import and font names

I'm replying to my own post with some news. A more direct way to see the problem is the following: 1. Create an Inkscape document with some fonts, say Syntax and Syntax Bold. 2. Save as pdf. The pdf displays ok (of course, since the fonts are embedded). 3. Both fonts appear in the pdf file with the ...

pdf import and font names

I have a problem with fonts not being identified when importing pdf files. Background: I have lots of old projects done in Freehand on the mac. I have found that exporting them to eps, converting to pdf with ps2pdf on my Ubuntu linux box and importing into Inkscape works really well, even for comple...
