Well I can go over to File > Export Bitmap...
And there's an option for batch export: "Batch export all selected objects."

Well, this also works. But you'd need to have a fast CPU. Go to Path > Path Effect Editor... or press CTRL+Shift+7 Make a square with the Rectangle Tool :tool_rectangle: on the top-right and have it as an outline. How do I select the nodes of two different paths by using the node select tool? Upcoming Inkscape 0.48 will have an enhanced node tool with Multi-path editing (i.e. it will no longer be necessary to combine separate paths into one with several sub-paths). Excellent news.
