I must confess that for years I've used Xara Extreme and that I didn't give Inkscape much of a chance. I have since repented and fully believe that Inkscape is far superior to XX5 or anything prior to it. Yes, XX will do a few things that Inkscape won't but the list is very small and I use Inkscape more and more and XX less and less. That brings me to my dilemma. I have a lot of templates made in XX (label formats CD/Pocket CD labels that I made) that I would very much like to switch over to Inkscape. My ultimate goal is to never use XX again. I've tried several ways to export but Xara's SVG doesn't work with Inkscape that I can see, I've tried WMF, EPS, etc with no success. I can do it with a PDF but a lot of my templates have several layers and PDFs won't do them. I found a converter on Inkscape's site but it doesn't seem to do them either. Asking Xara would be pointless because they obviously want to sell their software and their arrogance is getting to be too much for me to deal with. So I'm curious to know if anyone else has successfully made the transition.

There is SVG exporter in Xara since 3.2, no?

I couldn't get any of the svg formats in X5 to work in inkscape.
