Prior to this happening I downloaded a font from font squirrel, closed & reopened inkspace then I was about to open my previous files but they weren't there (I had saved them to my desktop).

Also whenever I saved a file to the desktop it wouldn't show, same thing happened when i tries to export as png. I had to copy and paste to gimp then export as png.

When i try to save a new file on inkspace I can't see my old files too.

Yh i didnt log out I just closed inkscape

system: Windows 8
inkscape: 0.92.2 64 bit

I would search "My Documents" for any svg files (search: *.svg) star is a wildcard, if you aren't familiar.

If nothing in My Documents, I'd search the entire PC... could take a while.

Thanks but I couldn't find them so I just made them again. Everything seems to be fine now, i can save .svg files and export pngs

Don't forget autosave this time! Inkscape Preferences > Input/Output > Autosave
