hello all. I want to bold a font to make it more legible but it does not have a bold feature. it needs to fit within a certain ratio equal to the logo. This font is put on a path. any suggestions?
I typed out the font put on path created a fill and stroke for the type so it became a bit more bold.
the font is legible but I want to see if there is a better way.
the font itself does have some waviness, any way to smooth out the font a bit?
I also need to transform my entire designed logo to fit a certain size. when I select all and group it does change, but if I need to re-edit or re-size the transform or any layer the font text does not scale correctly. ie. i would change it to a larger size and the text would blur so much that the font becomes an unrecognizable blob.
thank you.

Would you please share your SVG file with us? You can either attach to a reply, or upload somewhere else, and give us the link. If the text is getting blurred when you scale the logo, then the text must be an embedded raster image, rather than vector text. Unless you mean that you're scaling the exported PNG (or JPG). One of the best reasons for using vector image or objects, rather than raster, is because vector contents can be scaled without distortion or blurriness. Anyway, if you're scaling the exported PNG, you should scale the logo while it's in Inkscape. Then export a new PNG. (We can find out if the text is a raster image, when we see your file.)
When I see your file, I'll know this for sure too. But the waviness might be part of the font - there on purpose. If that's the case, and you don't want wavy, you should find a different font which doesn't have the wavy appearance.
With the vector text, you can make it bolder by adjusting the width of the stroke. Object menu > Fill and Stroke > Stroke Style tab > Width
