curious re terminology "stroke path" in LPE dialg

Postby brynn » Wed Oct 06, 2010 5:48 am

Hi Friends,
While studying LPE Stitch Sub-Paths, I created a feather. It came out so well that I decided to make a tutorial. So I'm trying to get the terminology right for the tut. And the green colored path that is seen when you've clicked on the node tool icon in the LPE Stitch Sub-Path dialog, is apparently called a "Stroke Path", according to http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... Paths.html. Here's a screen shot:

I'm just curious why it's called a stroke path. It's a confusing name. Can anyone explain?

Thanks for your help :D
