Text looks bad in exported PDF

Postby freakinpenguin » Tue Oct 13, 2015 7:34 pm

Hi everybody,
I'm somehow new to inkscape and like to export a text into a pdf.
My problem is, that the text looks quite bad in the exported pdf while watching the page. When zooming in, the text looks better:

I already converted my text to paths and also checked the "convert-text-to-paths"-checkbox in the pdf-export-dialog.
It would be great if someone could give me a hint how to solve this issue. Thanks in advance!

I'd try using no stokes on all small elements for more accurate rendering in PDF. PDF readers may fatten strokes less than a pixel to at least a pixel.

To quickly convert the existing text in the svg: select a letter, convert strokes to path, break apart, then union.
Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/
