Genius MousePen Tablet problem

Postby andreim » Sun Apr 16, 2017 7:35 pm

Greatings!
Has anybody used/been using a Genius/other tablet with Inkscape and benefit from pressure sensitivity?
I have a MousePen 8x6, showing in the input devices but whenever I drag the pen (tried in calligraphy) I get zooming in and pop-up menu in rapid susccession.
Of course, I can deactivate it and use the pen merely as a mouse but I want pressure sensitivity.

Yes, I think most people are able to use pressure sensitivity. I know of 2 options for pressure sensitivity, so you can make sure you have both of them set. One is Edit menu > Input Devices, near the bottom. And don't miss the Save button. The other is in Edit menu > Preferences > Input/Output > Input Devices, I think it's the 2nd to last option there.

I'm not a tablet user, so that's about all I could say. Oh also, I think there may be some options on the Calligraphy tool control bar that you might need to set, as well.

Well it seems the Genius tablet maybe have some problems with Inkscape: reported bugs

There might be some work-around mentioned in those reports, which might help you. I didn't read them all.
