Outline of text does not match when printed

Postby tonyb » Wed Feb 13, 2013 1:18 pm

When I select a font to have a fill and outline, it looks fine on the screen. When I go to print the file, in print preview as well as the final printed piece, the outline does not match the text. It matches ok to the left, but as the text advances to the right, the outline becomes more and more exaggeratedly off.

I have added a pic of a screen cap (cropped) of the print preview screen showing the problems.

Amy ideas?

Hello
I guess that "the print preview" it's from your installed printer, (Inkscape doesn't have that dialog). So maybe, not sure at all, it's a problem of your printer or your drivers.
Try to narrow the problem.
You can "print"to a pdf file with a virtual pdf printer that you find in the web. And then try to print that pdf in your printer (What model it is?)
Or you can convert the text to paths, and see if in that form the problem disapears.

Also, use the search tool of the forum if there is a related topic.

Good luck!
If you have problems:
1.- Post a sample (or samples) of your file please.
2.- Please check here:

3.- If you manage to solve your problem, please post here your solution.
