Hi, running version 0.92.3 on Ubuntu Desktop 18.04, I run into the following issues:
1. Clicking CTRL+W in hope of closing the current document, usually ends up closing the active dockers window.
To remedy I need to left click the main area and only then hit CTRL+W again.
Looking at the keyboard shortcuts map (Inkscap default), CTRL+W is supposedly allocated to the File > Close action only.
Question 1: Is there a way to force CTRL+W to always close the current document, regardless of which component is the currently active one?
2. Having a selected element (e.g. path) and double clicking the spinner arrows of any one of the top toolbar's position (X/W) or dimension (W/H) kick-starts an acceleration process, that causes the number to continually increase/decrease at a steady pace (resulting in an ever shifting/inflating/deflating element).
Question 2: Is there a way to disable this feature?
Question 3: Is there a way to modify the inc/dec speed?
Thank you.
CTRL+W and number accelerator behavior issues
Re: CTRL+W and number accelerator behavior issues
Ad Q1: Can you try if any of the settings for Window behavior make a difference?
Ad Q2/Q3: No, it's a bug. It's not going to be fixed for the 0.92.x branch. It will be fixed for the next major release. You can select a different tool to stop the spinning.

Re: CTRL+W and number accelerator behavior issues
Thank you for the reply.
Got it regarding Q2/Q3. I'll workaround it by selecting the number box and using the UP/DOWN keyboard keys.
Regarding Q1:
I posted my question after going over all the settings and not finding a suitable one.
I just went over all the settings again now and I still can't find something dedicated towards not closing docked windows using CTRL+W. Nothing special in the "Windows > Interface" or "Behavior > (anything)" sections.
Took another look at the key binding settings and the only one for CTRL+W is File > Close, which should be global.
If there's some specific settings that should be changed I'll be happy to know which one.

Re: CTRL+W and number accelerator behavior issues
No, the request was just about trying out the different window behaviours, to see if they make a difference.
If they don't, it would be good if you could open a bug report. I've tested with the development version yesterday, and the behaviour didn't change.
