I first tried to register, but my Hotmail account never received any messages. I tried several times, made sure I had used the right email, checked my junk folder, and asked the system to resend the message several times.
I created a new forum account with a Gmail account and was able to register.
At the moment the few posts I have tried to put up are in limbo because they need to be evaluated. It has been about two days now. I do not want to seem impatient. I just have no idea if this is unusual or not. If I'm having another issue outside of busy moderators I'd rather not wait, like, two weeks before bringing it up. How long does this usually take?
Hotmail registration trouble
Re: Hotmail registration trouble
I'm sorry for your troubles and the delayed response.
Note that the forum simply sends an email to the email address provided. It does not apply different logic to different email domains. If your hotmail account did not receive it, then Hotmail itself will be responsible for not delivering it (assuming you type in your email address correctly.)

Re: Hotmail registration trouble
This happened to me too. I've been trying for months to register! Finally found this post and opened up a gmail account to see and it worked. Hotmail users do not get the email.
Re: Hotmail registration trouble
I attempted to register with a comcast.net address but never received a confirming email. Tried a gmail account and received the email immediately.

Re: Hotmail registration trouble
I've had this exact same problem just now with my hotmail email. You really need to fix this.
