Before everything, thank's for this excellent software.

I would like to suggest to modify the mouse wheel behavior. I think if you configure it for zoom in and zoom out it will be better.

Inkscape Preferences (Ctrl-Shift-P) -> Scrolling -> Tick "Mouse wheel zooms by default"

And yes, it's better that way.

Or use Ctrl + mouse wheel. Most software use either mouse wheel or Ctrl+mouse wheel to zoom around mouse pointer or scroll (or switch between the two).

Thank's for the tips howto set up zoom with mouse wheel. But I misspoke.

I would like to says, it will be better to configure it by default, I think it's more intuitive.
