I have been using Inkscape for a while now, so am not a complete newbie....
I am using Inkscape 0.91(64 bit for Windows), which I have just downloaded in an attempt to rectify this anomaly.
I am using a Ricoh SG 3100SNW printer.
I created a graphic a few days ago and it printed perfectly.
I opened Inkscape today and tried to print the same graphic, and instead of the normal print as it appears on my screen, Inkscape now prints the paper black with the graphic upon it.
As far as I know I have not changed any settings, and have even uninstalled the Inkscape .48 that I was using and insatalled the 0.91 version and the problem remains.
I have opened the graphic in Coral Draw as a test and it printed fine.
Please help.

Please read all the link, but it seems that there are some workarounds:
- Change the opacity of the objects
- Convert to PDF - EPS

Please post back with your results, whatever they are.

Well that seems to work.
I have changed my printer setting to render the image as a bitmap instead of a vector image.
Still don't understand why it would change from one day to the next though.

It's because of a bug in version 0.91. I'm guessing it's the one where transparent areas print black. But we didn't gather enough info to know for sure. Another solution would be to keep 0.48.x around for printing.
