Hi, I'm new to lnkscape and hope it can help me with the following problem. In the past, I made some graphs in Excel that have several lines in different color. I pasted these graphs into Word and PPT files. Now I have to submit some material with these graphs in a journal that accepts only black/white pictures. Unfortunately, I don't have original Excel files but Word/PPT files are still with me. Hence I need to change color of lines into black and discern them with different styles (dotted, dashed, etc.). Can this be done in lnkscape?
Thanks!
Changing line colors and styles in PPT or Word files
Re: Changing line colors and styles in PPT or Word files
Hello,
Inkscape can't import doc files or ppt files directly.
Generaly, the graphics in Ppt or word files are treated as Raster images, or Vector images
Inkscape can import Raster files (png, jpg, bmp) with good accuracy, or Vector images like wmf, emf files, but some features may be lost in this case.
You can see more about this here:

If you have graphics in a raster format (png or jpg or bmp ), You can trace them on Inkscape, and after that change its color. But the result will be imperfect. Besides, for working with raster format images it's better to use GIMP or photoshop, if you only want to convert the images in black and white or grayscale
Maybe you could try Libre Office too.
I hope that something I wrote make sense to you
