HI All,
Firstly, please be gentle with me I am new to all of this. :$
I did a logo a while back Inkscape and all was fine until I tried transferred to illustrator. I can not seem to find the same font online that I used previously either.
Is there a way to export a font ( .HeitiUI TC ) from inkscape and import it into Illustrator.
Thank you,
Regards,
jsgthomson

Re: Fonts...
No, but you can just click on the text, then go to Path -> Convert to Path to make the text a normal vector curve. Note that the text will no longer be editable as text after this, each letter is a curve from now on.
But if the correct font is used when you open the file with Inkscape, and it's not used when you open it with Illustrator, on the same computer and user account, then there's really something strange going on. Both programs use the system's font info, and should find the same fonts.
If the font is installed on your computer, you can do a search on your hard disk to find the file, and if Illustrator is running on a different machine, you can transfer the file to that other system to be able to use it.

Re: Fonts...
Are you saying a normal Inkscape SVG don´t maintain the font to Illustrator? That´s odd.
You can try PDF with embed fonts checked during file save.
Cheers

It's 'Object to Path' then.
