font in svg but there is nothing there (bug?)

Hello,
I'm sending a friend a SVG and he says he keeps getting errors with a missing fonts 'sans' and 'dungeon'. I opened the SVG and there indeed is a font section for 'sans' and 'dungeon'. But I've removed all the objects one by one and despite it now being an empty file it still has the font section referenced in the file. If I start with an empty file then there are no font tags in the SVG.

I've attached. Can somebody help please as I don't want to send my picture to the printers for it to fall over with font errors.

Note, at one point I was using various fonts but I converted them all using object to path.

just an idea but how does it send fonts, if it sends a reference to a font on the computer and he doesnt have those fonts on his, that might give you the error message. Just a thought.

Yes there's in a font-style onto a flowRoot that is not cleaned when vacuuming defs.
It should be better with attached version.

Is this supposed to be a template ? There are a lot of guides (that will be only usefull in inkscape) and a sand texture (maybe you want to clean it too). And when you remove this then the doc is empty so it will not be really usefull for a non-inkscape user.

Opened your file and cannot see anything.
What do you want with that? Change the font inside the svg?
There is a font-family section in the codes, that was set to sans;
in the attached version, it is changed to arial.

Hello,
The blank file was just me removing absolutely everything to try and pin-point the font, i.e. I removed everything and still it had fonts. I did try and manually edit the XML but I must have wiped too much as it failed to load afterwards. I tried vacuuming and it doesn't remove them.

I've attached the real one if anyone could help, please, my finished arcade cabinet is resting on this

btw, there is a black rounded border rectangle (stroke only, no fill) that I used to hide the red around the outside. When I send my friend this file with this border in it fails to load in Illustrator, if I remove the border it works fine.

btw, please no comments on the quality, I'm not an artist

Converted all text and outlines to path, this should work.
However there are some "sans" font styles defined in the codes, for a clipping.

Thanks, very much appreciated. I'll try it tonight when I get home. Is this a bug not removing the font?

The only reason I ask about the faulit is my friend got the error using a Mac and if I send it to the printers as PDF they might get the same error and it might barf the printing or they might refuse to print it.

Just convert the text to path.

Thanks Druban, they look excellent. For your reference the text was white with a 30% opacity to make it look dark grey. But what's wrong with the file, there are no layers and when I do a paste in place everything is placed below this image?

objects with a fill of ffffff should be white

It is meant to look like this, there are no fonts everything was object to path (I didn't know the difference between that and stroke to path so picked one at random):

Here is your image with text turned to paths, with no outlines but fill, with no opacity but opaque colours and with proper clipping, not with that black outline-thingy on top.

That's brilliant, thanks, you've all been a great help. You've saved me a bit more time still as I realised when outputting to PDF it lost all the opacity settings for the letters and turned them white

Here's a picture of my final output to the printers, I'll post a picture when it's all done if anyone's interested.
