Postby christech 4k » Fri May 15, 2009 1:25 pm

I new to Inkscape, although I have been doing design for years. Well my problem is that I created some really cool looking text and I cannot recreate the same text
again to finish the piece. Please somebody help, I have been at this for almost 2 days and an frustrated to no end. And to make things worse I cant figure out how in the world to post the image here for help. so is any can help me to first tell me how to post an image here to let others see it and then figure out what I did to create the text PLEASE help...

after discecting to text somewhat it looks as though to stroke is not touching the text at all but is providing a nice outline of the text (but not touching it)

How upload images thread: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7 If you create and account you get space for your images.

Texts works like the other paths in inkscape. Stroke goes around the edges fill goes inside. I thought the default for inkscape (before you changed any preferences) was text has fill no stoke but been a long time since I installed it.

Thank you...I know how to edit the stroke and fill but what has happened is I did something to move the stroke off of the text perhaps 1px or 2px...the stroke is no longer touching the text...just outlining it.

Aaight, I figured out that I did it somehow with Linked Offset...I dont know exaclty what I did to get to the point I was at, but liknked offset will give you a stoke that does not touch the text once you remove the fill...Thanks
