Hello All. I am creating several business cards with different color sections drawn on card.Inkscape fills with the proper color I choose however there always seems to be a part or area that it does not.
I have used grow/shrink,threshold and close gaps but it seems imperfect in its fill areas.Any help would be great, thanks.
Fill not filling complete image
Re: Fill not filling complete image
Welcome to InkscapeForum
It sounds like you must be using the Paint Bucket tool? It's true that there are situations where that tool can't fill certain areas properly. Depending what's in the image/how it's made, you might be able to use Fill rather than Bucket. (Object menu > Fill and Stroke dialog > Fill tab) The objects would have to be closed paths (or almost closed) or Inkscape drawn shapes. If it would require a lot of node editing to achieve that, it might be simpler to tweak the path created by the Bucket tool. With the Node tool, you can grab the nodes and'/or handles and drag them slightly, to fix any gaps.
If you could show us your SVG file, we could tell you how hard or easy it might be to use a regular fill. But if you're already using grow/shrink, close game and threshold, you probably have very few, and very small areas that aren't filled. It would probably be easier to just tweak a node/handle or 2
