Error

Postby Stef » Sun Jan 09, 2011 6:10 am

I just downloaded Inscape today and I am trying to put a pattern along a path and keep getting this error.

The fantastic lxml wrapper for libxml2 is required by inkex.py and therefore this extension. Please download and install the latest version from http://cheeseshop.python.org/pypi/lxml/, or install it through your package manager by a command like: sudo apt-get install python-lxml

I don't understand what I am suppose to do, Or how I inport this into the program. If anyone could help that would be great. I use a mac and snow
leopard. I followed the link, and what I downloaded was this lxml-2.2.8-py2.5-macosx-10.3-i386.egg. And my computer does not understand where to put it.

Please spend just one minute and do a brief search in the forum about 'extensions' and 'Snow Leopard' - or don't, and quickly head over to this topic: Re: Getting Extentions to work on A Mac OSX 10.6.5;)

Off topic:
The subject you chose for your topic - Error - is, ermm…, not very useful - for you to get precise answers and for those trying to help. Please consider providing some additional keywords (like e.g. 'extensions fail', maybe even add 'on my Mac') in future topics.
