I'm just working on an image in which I have a bunch of objects in a row, a bunch of rows, and then one end of each row meet at one point, creating a starburst kind effect. And I need to align and distribute the objects radially....or...circumferentially

I'm curious if align and distribute radially or circumferentially has ever been discussed? Or considered as a potential new feature request? I've searched at Launchpad, and nothing turns up (search words 'align distribute radially'). I'm curious what other Inkscape users think about this idea. Or are there other current features which can be used to do this, differently or better than I described?
Thanks as always for you excellent support
