How do I create a Table?

Postby Ged » Wed Sep 23, 2015 2:49 pm

Is there a way to create a table with rows and columns on Inkscape? On CorelDraw a you enter the number of rows and columns wanted, and then drag a table out to the required overall size, in much the same way as a a rectangle is created. Line thickness and background color is available. Also, the table can be 'ungrouped' into all the individual cells.

If not available on Inkscape, can someone suggest an alternative way of getting the same effect?

Depending on how complex of a table is needed, I might either just draw it with inkscape tools, or there's an extension. Let me find....

There's also the Live Path Effect (LPE) "Construct Grid".
You can draw a rectangle, add the LPE "construct grid", and then resize the grid and change stroke size (stroke color and fill color seem to have no effect?).

Oh right -- yes!

And a number of extensions will make grids, which are configurable (although not.....well, not truly live, but essentially live, if you use the Live Preview).
