My Inkscape has no tooltips??

My Inkscape has no tooltips??

Hi everyone,

I am trying to figure out my way around Inkscape (running under Ubuntu 9.04) and my copy of Inkscape has no tool tips to let me know what is what. How do I turn on tooltips?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

PS. I am so frustrated with how when I Google and Google and Google some more about something like this I get nothing but junk showing up that has nothing to do with the problem at hand.

I don't know what happend but my Inkscape has tooltips now. I closed it and reopened it and voila...it works. Isn't that just like Microsoft Wind... oops, I mean Linux :mrgreen:?
