I have two problems with InkCut that I need help with.

I am running Linux Mint, and have a Gerber Embosstrack hooked to an RS232 port.

First I have to chmod 777 the tty/S0 everytime I reboot the PC, how do I make the permissions to the serial port permanent?

Second the scaling doesn't apply when you open InkCut.
My scaling needs to be 2.54. When I set it and save it it works, but if you close InkCut when you reopen it the scaling still shows 2.54, but it doesn't apply it, you have to change the scaling to something else, save it, then change it back to 2.54 to get it to work.
This issue also sounds like a permission problem, how do I fix it?
