Smack! - 2D fighting game

Postby creek23 » Thu Jan 05, 2012 2:11 pm

Hi all!

I'd like to show our project Smack! -- a 2D fighting game of chibi FOSS mascots. Intended to be a simple tech demo of our main project KonsolScript -- a supposedly easy-to-learn scripting language for aspiring game programmers. Both projects are Free and Open Source, btw.

Obviously, Inkscape was used to create the game sprites, which are available both in OpenGameArt.org and our SVN repo. ;)

Late November, I ported our then latest copy to HTML5.

Glad you liked it.

Not sure how to embed a YouTube vid here so I'll just place the link or our most current screencast of the game.

The art work for your game is really cute.
Do you have a link to a current demo of your game so we can give it a try?

Hi Inkspots!

We've just released v0.1, which is basically in it's alpha state.

Good Day,
I really like the work you have done. I was interested in teaching some kids how to use javascript and html to make their own games. Would you be able to send me a zip file of this project. I want to start with having them substitute characters and sound then break down what the code actually means. Your help and direction would be very helpful.

Smack! ---- Best and closest thing to Mugen I have found
