How to use Kerning
I have been watching a video that shows the use of kerning, He must be using Windows. I am using MAC and I can't get it to work. The guy says to simply hold the Alt key and use the arrows, but that is not working. Any Help?

Must be an outdated video ;) - the current version of Inkscape (0.48) has GUI controls for kerning. You no longer are limited to using the keyboard shortcuts: Release Notes 0.48 > Text Tool

See Inkscape FAQ > Mac OS X specific issues: How to make the Alt key work
… or upgrade to a recent version of Xquartz (>= 2.5.1) which has a preference setting to change the keymapping of the alt/option key.
