[solved] Same color overlaing mixes colors

Hi there, I am glad to have free vector grafic redactor and forum about it!

My situation is: I have 2 lines created by pen tool :tool_pen: . Both are same color and lines are placed the way that they have some common square. My problem is: this common square are different color (more dark than original) when I want it to be like original lines are. So what should I do?

You could convert the strokes to paths using path>stroke to path
then union the resulting paths using Path>union If you need to preserve the transparency you added to the stroke colour.

If you want your objects to remain separate, or dont want to turn them into paths and this method wont work for you,
you can just remove transparency from the stroke colour by sliding the opacity slider all the way to the right. That way no colour from the lower stroke, will show through the top one.

I'm guessing you want to reproduce the whole stroke of the colour that shows up everywhere except the intersection part.
To do this the easiest way, take a screenshot by pressing the button Print Screen,
then press Ctrl+V to insert it to inkscape.
Then, select the lines you drawn with the pen tool, change the stroke fill to anything with an alpha value of 255.
Then use the dropper tool -F7- and select the colour on the screenshot you wanted to use.
Then you delete that raster image and you are finished.

Thanks for answers. Making alpha 255 solves my problem.
